Four Emporia State University students won awards during the American Chemical Society Wichita Section Virtual Symposium 2021 in April.

Students from Emporia State regularly perform well as the KAS annual meeting, earning 57 awards over the past 15 years.

Five graduate students from Emporia State will join students from Kansas Regents institutions for the annual Capitol Graduate Research Summit on Feb. 18. The purpose of CGRS is to display the quality and robustness of Kansas-related graduate research taking place at local institutions to state government, education officials, industry representatives and the general public. While the event is usually held at the Capitol, it will be held virtually for the first time this year due to COVID-19.

Junior Arriq Singleton from Kansas City and Freshman Kalese Warfield from Topeka secured a bid to nationals following wins over Baylor University, the University of Texas-San Antonio, Missouri State, UMKC, and the University of Texas-Dallas during the District III National Qualifier tournament held at the University of Central Oklahoma Feb. 22 through Feb. 25. Singleton, a dual major at ESU in political science and interdisciplinary studies, talked to KVOE about how it feels to qualify.
