A talented cohort of 27 Emporia State University students are the latest undergraduates to benefit from ESU's longstanding partnership with the Capitol Federal Foundation.

The 2024-25 Bobbi Sauder Student-Athlete Nursing Scholarship was given to five at Emporia State University. They were honored during a luncheon recently.

Because of the generosity of Earl W. Sauder, a devoted fan and supporter of Emporia State University, 35 Hornet student-athletes from each of ESU's intercollegiate sports were honored at a luncheon on Nov. 4 as Earl W. Sauder Athletic Scholars for 2024-25.

Emporia State University's Summer Theatre presented William Shakespeare's "Two Gentlemen of Verona" for its 70th anniversary season. The company performed the four shows June 27 through 30.

Emporia State University Theatre presents "Androcles and the Lion," book by Aurand Harris and music by Glenn Mack. Performances are scheduled for April 19 through 21 in the Ronald Q. Frederickson Black Box Theatre, in Roosevelt Hall.

Five graduate students from Emporia State will join students from Kansas Regents institutions for the annual Capitol Graduate Research Summit on Feb. 18. The purpose of CGRS is to display the quality and robustness of Kansas-related graduate research taking place at local institutions to state government, education officials, industry representatives and the general public. While the event is usually held at the Capitol, it will be held virtually for the first time this year due to COVID-19.
