The School of Business at Emporia State University kicked off its annual awards celebration on Thursday, April 17, by initiating a new class into Beta Gamma Sigma, the prestigious School of Business honor society. Following the Beta Gamma Sigma initiation, the School of Business hosted an honors banquet to celebrate their senior honor students with a 3.5 or better cumulative GPA, student scholarship recipients and student and faculty award winners.

The Graduate School at Emporia State University has awarded $51,299 for scholarships and awards during the 2013-14 academic year. This total represents a significant increase in scholarship funding for graduate students thanks to support from ESU's Office of the President and Office of the Provost. Additional funding was provided by ESU Foundation graduate scholarship funding (Scholar's Circle) and the Graduate School.

Celebrating the promise of continued academic achievement, Emporia State University will introduce its 12 newest Shepherd Scholars at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at the Sauder Alumni Center.
