Weekly adventures await at ESU's Peterson Planetarium Summer Shows
Emporia, KS (06/02/2026) — It's a universe of exploration as Emporia State University's Peterson Planetarium brings exciting and educational fulldome Summer Shows to viewers of all ages beginning Tuesday, June 9 through Thursday, July 30. From the origin of life and a photon's journey across space and time to breathtaking quests through our solar system, there is a show for everyone.
Each week, families, space enthusiasts and curious minds will find a front-row seat to adventure, discovering the cosmos like never before.
The Peterson Planetarium, located in ESU's Science Hall, Room 031, is the perfect summer activity, offering a free, entertaining experience for all. Space is limited, and each attendee must register individually for a ticket at emporia.edu/planetarium.

- Origins of Life - Tuesday, June 9, at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, June 10, at 6 p.m.; Thursday, June 11, at 10 a.m.
- Chronicle of a Journey to Earth - Tuesday, June 16, at 10 a.m.; Wednesday, June 17, at 2 p.m.; Thursday, June 18, at 10 a.m.
- Seeing! - Tuesday, June 23, at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, June 24, at 6 p.m.; Thursday, June 25, at 10 a.m.
- Astronomy: 3,000 Years of Stargazing - Tuesday, June 30, at 10 a.m.; Wednesday, July 1, at 2 p.m.; Thursday, July 2, at 10 a.m.
- Mars: The Ultimate Journey - Tuesday, July 7, at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, July 8, at 6 p.m.; Thursday, July 9, at 10 a.m.
- Messengers of Space and Time - Tuesday, July 14, at 10 a.m.; Wednesday, July 15, at 2 p.m.; Thursday, July 16, at 10 a.m.
