Try art workshops to support ESU programs, students

Emporia, KS (09/15/2026) — The Emporia State Art Program is hosting Art Unleashed, a fundraiser that will give attendees the opportunity to experience up to three art workshops presented by art faculty. The event is Friday, Sept. 18, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and includes three blocks of sessions.

Between workshops, drinks and appetizers will be served and a silent auction will be held featuring works from ESU students, faculty, alumni and local artists.

Each ticket is $65 and available to those 18 and older. Guests receive two drinks, appetizers and the choice of three workshops, including printmaking, ceramics, glass fusing, life drawing, wheelthrowing and engraving. Workshops are 40 minutes in length and subject to availability. Attendees should register online.

All materials will be provided. Those attending should wear appropriate attire for working with clay, ink, paint or other materials that could be messy.

Proceeds from the event will benefit students in the ESU Art Program by supplementing or reducing the costs of materials and equipment that art students are required to purchase each semester.
