ESU's Peterson Planetarium explores weather wonders in April

Emporia, KS (04/13/2026) — The weather in Kansas is as dynamic as it is unpredictable, and as snow and ice give way to scorching heat and thunderstorms, ESU's Peterson Planetarium invites viewers on a wild weather ride with the showing of "Weather: Wonders & Mysteries Revealed" throughout April.

The 30-minute show also includes an exploration of the night sky over Emporia with Mark Brown, director of the Peterson Planetarium, followed by a Q&A session.

Peterson Planetarium is located in ESU's Science Hall, Room 031. Seating is limited and each attendee must register individually at emporia.edu/planetarium.

Upcoming showtimes:

  • Thursday, April 16 at 4 p.m.
