ESU Campus to Close, Foundation Open During Holiday Break

Corrects date that campus re-opens.

Emporia, KS (12/09/2019) — The Emporia State University Foundation will be open during the last week of the year to accept end-of-year gifts. The rest of campus, however, will be closed between 5:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20 and 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020.

Foundation staff will be on hand to assist with these and other gifts from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the break except Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25. The Foundation will also be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Anyone wanting to make a 2019 gift to Emporia State University may deliver the gift in person to 1500 Highland St., by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31. Checks may be mailed so long as they are postmarked on or before Dec. 31. Credit card gifts may be made online at https://hornetnation.emporia.edu/givenow through Dec. 31.

Although the entire campus re-opens Thursday, Jan. 2, students won't move back into residence halls until noon Sunday, Jan. 12. Classes for the spring semester begin Tuesday, Jan. 14.
