Emporia State hosts First Friday Art Walk, Art Forum Nov. 7

Emporia, KS (11/05/2025) — Emporia First Friday Art Walk comes to Emporia State as the presenting venue on Friday, Nov. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. On display will be the ESU Art Program Faculty Biennial Exhibition, featuring artwork by ESU art program faculty in both the Eppink and Gilson galleries in King Hall. A reception will be held during the exhibition.

The ESU Art Program Faculty Biennial Exhibition will remain on display through Friday, Nov. 21.

Friday, Nov. 7 is also ESU's Art Forum, which will feature guest speaker Lorinda Bradley. Currently the national register coordinator for the State Historic Preservation Office of Iowa, Bradley has previously taught courses in the history of architecture, art and design, and served as director and curator of the Montminy Gallery in Columbia, Missouri. Art Forum will be held from 4 to 4:50 p.m. at the Lyon County History Center, 711 Commercial St. The event is free and open to the public.

Art Walk attendees are also invited to ESU's Heath Recital Hall in Beach Music Hall for ESU Flute Studio performances at 5, 6 and 7 p.m.
