Business Dean Candidates to Have Public Forums

Emporia, KS (04/29/2026) — Three candidates being considered as the next dean of Emporia State's School of Business and Technology will be available to meet the Emporia community at forums over the next week.

Each candidate will meet the community at an afternoon forum followed by a presentation the following afternoon in Cremer Hall on the ESU campus. The candidates' names and resumes will be provided one business day prior to each visit.

This is the schedule for the three candidates:

Candidate A:

  • Community reception: Thursday, April 30, 4:30 p.m. at Breidenthal University House, 1522 Highland St.
  • Presentation: Friday, May 1, 1:30 p.m. in Cremer Hall Room 205, Roe R. Cross Room

Candidate B:

  • Community reception: Monday, May 4, 4:30 p.m. at Sauder Alumni Center, 1500 Highland St.

  • Presentation: Tuesday, May 5, 1:30 p.m. in Cremer Hall Room 205, Roe R. Cross Room

Candidate C:

  • Community reception: Thursday, May 7, 4:30 p.m. at Sauder Alumni Center, 1500 Highland St.
  • Presentation: Friday, May 8, 1:30 p.m. in Cremer Hall Room 205, Roe R. Cross Room

The next dean follows Ed Bashaw, who retired from ESU at the end of the 2024-25 academic year. Internal administrators have served as interim deans since May 2025.
