Austin Bailey Wins Scholarship from Emporia State University

Emporia, KS (07/09/2024) — Austin Bailey of Lebo is one of 20 new incoming students at Emporia State University to win a $500 scholarship just for signing up to enroll. The university began awarding 20 scholarships in 20 days on June 24.

Bailey is a transfer student from Ottawa University.

There is still time for interested students to enter the drawings.

All incoming students who sign up to enroll from May 1 through July 13 will be automatically entered into the 20 Scholarships in 20 Days drawings. Students can sign up to enroll at emporia.edu/hornetconnection or by scheduling a personalized appointment with their admissions counselor. Submit your interest and learn more here.

Emporia State University continues to aggressively attack the cost of Higher Education by offering more cost saving opportunities than ever including a DECREASE in Tuition + Fees, elimination of parking + application fees and NEW Stackable Scholarships including on-campus housing scholarships that add up to thousands of dollars for students.

To be eligible to enroll at a Hornet Connection event, students must first apply at emporia.edu/apply (no application fees). During the event, students and their guests will:

  • Meet with academic advisors and get class schedules.
  • Connect and make friends with current and new students.
  • Learn about campus resources designed to set students up for success.
  • Get excited about becoming an Emporia State Hornet.
