Ross Bjork Joins Emporia State University Foundation Board

Emporia, KS (12/14/2021) — A collegiate athletic director is a new trustee on the 49-member board for the Emporia State University Foundation.

Ross Bjork of College Station, Texas, earned a bachelor of science degree in recreation from Emporia State University in 1995. A native of Dodge City, Kansas, Bjork played on the Hornet football team and was a two-year starter at fullback. He received the ESU Distinguished Alumni award in 2017. Bjork also has a master's degree in athletic administration from Western Illinois University. Bjork is director of athletics for Texas A&M University.

"I am humbled to be chosen to serve on the ESU Foundation Board of Trustees. My pathway in life was molded while at Emporia State, and I believe it is our duty and obligation to help the next generation of Hornets achieve their goals and dreams," Bjork said. "By serving on the foundation board, we can all help each student and Emporia State reach its full potential. I look forward to giving back in as many ways as possible."

Bjork is one of eight new trustees on the ESU Foundation board. Trustees serve as role models for potential donors by generously contributing of their own time and resources. They are actively involved in university events and programs and serve to raise philanthropic resources to advance the mission of Emporia State University.
