ESU celebrates its 2024-25 class of Capitol Federal scholars
Emporia, KS (11/18/2024) — A talented cohort of 27 Emporia State University students are the latest undergraduates to benefit from ESU's longstanding partnership with the Capitol Federal Foundation.
On Wednesday, Nov. 6, ESU celebrated its 2024-25 class of Capitol Federal scholars during the annual luncheon at the Sauder Alumni Center. In 2002, ESU became the first of seven Kansas higher education institutions to work with Capitol Federal on a scholarship program that prepares business students for the challenges of the future. For more than two decades, high-achieving students from Emporia State University's School of Business + Technology have benefited from scholarships from the Capitol Federal Foundation. This year's class also includes two Hornet student-athlete scholars and two nursing scholars.

"We understand how challenging it can be to balance schoolwork and extracurriculars, and we're proud to provide financial support to these exemplary students. The opportunity to meet the students in person and hear about their unique journeys is one we look forward to every year."
ESU's policy of not limiting the number of scholarships students can receive allows this year's Capitol Federal recipients to "stack" or combine multiple scholarship awards, further reducing the cost and financial burden for students attending Emporia State.
