Angel Zimmerman Joins Emporia State University Foundation Board
Emporia, KS (12/14/2021) — An attorney in Topeka is a new trustee on the 49-member board for the Emporia State University Foundation.
Angel R. Zimmerman, managing partner of Zimmerman & Zimmerman PA, earned a bachelor of science degree in political science from ESU in 1991. She earned her juris doctorate from Washburn University School of Law.
"I believe that Kansas state colleges and universities provide a quality education and exceptional experience that will continue to bestow benefits for a lifetime. Emporia State University has done this for my husband and I and for our four children," said Zimmerman. "I am interested in being a trustee to continue to advocate that Emporia State University provides a bedrock for success, and its students can compete successfully with students who have graduated from other institutions. Kansas students do not need to look to out-of-state institutions and out-of-state students and international students can greatly benefit from Emporia State University now and for the rest of their life."
Zimmerman is one of eight new trustees on the ESU Foundation board. Trustees serve as role models for potential donors by generously contributing of their own time and resources. They are actively involved in university events and programs and serve to raise philanthropic resources to advance the mission of Emporia State University.
