Thomas OBarto a Candidate for Undergraduate Degree at Emporia State University

Thomas Anthony OBarto of Osawatomie, Kansas, was a candidate for undergraduate graduation from Emporia State University during commencement exercises May 17.

OBarto earned a bachelor of science degree in secondary social science education with a minor in national security.

More than 600 students were candidates for undergraduate degrees.

Commencement speakers included Helen Van Etten of the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement address was delivered by Ed O'Malley, president and CEO of the Kansas Leadership Center.
