Shahad Ashi candidate for graduation from Emporia State University

Hats off to the more than 500 candidates for December graduation at Emporia State University. Shahad Ahmed Ashi of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will graduate Dec. 17 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design .

Undergraduates will receive their degrees during baccalaureate ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. at White Auditorium, 111 E. Sixth Ave. At 2 p.m., graduate students will be hooded at Albert Taylor Hall in Plumb Hall on the Emporia State campus.

Dr. Blake Flanders, president and CEO of the Kansas Board of Regents, will give remarks during both ceremonies. Dr. Marshall Sundberg, biological sciences professor and 2016 Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor, will address the undergraduates.
