Ryan McBroom honored at special Emporia State commencement ceremony

Ryan Michael McBroom of Wichita, Kansas, was one of six Emporia State University baseball players who celebrated commencement on the diamond during the NCAA Division II Baseball Central Regional tournament.

The six missed the university's May 13 commencement ceremonies to play in their conference tournament. On May 18, ESU President Allison Garrett honored each of them at home plate of Glennen Field in Emporia.

McBroom graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Economics with a minor in Mathematics and a concentration in Physics Dual Degree Engineering. magna cum laude
