Michael Meloy Honored at State Phi Beta Lambda Conference

Michael Meloy of Cedar Vale, Kansas, competed at the 2016 Kansas Phi Beta Lambda Conference, which was March 4 and 5 at Sterling College.

Phi Beta Lambda is the collegiate level of Future Business Leaders of America. It builds on communication, leadership, networking, and business skills for the future. As a member of Emporia State's PBL, LAST can compete in over 50 events at the state and national level, helps in various community service events, gains leadership skills and experience, applies classroom learning to a real-world setting, promotes business to high school students and to the community and is trained to be the next line of leaders in any profession.

At the conference, Meloy, a Junior Accounting major, was elected Kansas State Vice President for 2016-17, and placed third in Business Ethics and third in Impromptu Speaking.
