Melissa Laws graduates from Emporia State University

Hats off to the more than 1,000 candidates for May graduation at Emporia State University. Melissa J. Laws of Hartford, Kansas, graduated May 16 magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology .

Joe Bain, a member of the Kansas Board of Regents, spoke at both the baccalaureate and graduate ceremonies. Dr. Donald S. Miller, retired business professor and 2005 Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor, addressed the baccalaureate crowd.
