Marcy Shirk Receives Emporia State University Scholarship

Marcy Shirk of Emporia, Kan., has received the McPherson Family Scholars Fund, Kevin E. O'Connor Scholarship and Carl F. and Marie Specht Berg Scholarship for the 2011-12 academic year at Emporia State University.

Scholarships are helping almost 1,400 Emporia State University students attending classes this academic year. The 2011-12 allocation of scholarship awards, at $1,836,727, is helping support the educational dreams of students in Kansas, 18 other states and 10 foreign countries.
