Jessica Carrillo to Present Research at Kansas Capitol

Jessica Carrillo of Emporia, Kansas, is one of six undergraduate researchers from Emporia State University who will present their work on the first-floor rotunda of the State Capitol in Topeka on Wednesday, Feb. 15, as part of Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol.

Undergraduate students from each of the state's public universities will present their research from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is intended to showcase the quality and diversity of undergraduate research being conducted at state universities and highlights the role that higher education can play in strengthening the Kansas economy and workforce.

Carrillo, a senior Biology major, will present "Manipulating Development of Mucosal Tolerance by Blocking IL-2 Signaling."
