Diana Acevedo Earns Research Grant From Emporia State University

Diana Acevedo of Emporia, Kan., was awarded a $500 graduate student research grant for spring 2011. Acevedo's research project was "Expression of tb1 and its role in evolutionary development of maize (Zea mays L)" with Marshall Sundberg as faculty advisor.

The awards were given by the Research and Grants Center at Emporia State University. The mission of the Research and Grants Center is to promote, facilitate and encourage faculty, staff and students in seeking external support for research and scholarly or creative projects.
