Andrew McCutcheon in Emporia State Summer Theatre Production, 'U:Bug:Me'

2012 Jul 16

When Emporia State University's Summer Theatre opens its final show of the 2012 season, Andrew McCutcheon of Gardner, Kan., will be involved in the production of "U:Bug:Me," a children's musical by Jeremiah Clay Neal.

Life isn't easy when you are a bug and Pico the housefly knows this only too well. His best friend is mad at him, his girlfriend, a caterpillar, is going through changes and an enormous horsefly is terrorizing him. A clever new musical for the whole family, this production is under the direction of Jim and Lindy Bartruff.

Emporia State theater alum Ben Williams will design the set. His wife, Susan Williams, also an Emporia State theater alum, will design the costumes.

McCutcheon plays Tivo.

The show runs July 25 through 28, and all performances are in the Karl C. Bruder Theatre in King Hall. Curtain time on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is 7:30 p.m. The Saturday, July 28 production is a 2 p.m. family matinee. Individual tickets are available from the university box office at (620) 341-6378.
